Creating an Educator Login allows you seamless access when sharing resources to ease collaboration, to create custom booklists and lessons, as well as deepen access to the text complexity tools found on TeachingBooks that support your literacy work.

First, go to TeachingBooks. Look at the upper left-hand corner of the screen. You will be welcomed onto the site. If your school or district is using single sign-on authentication, the educator login steps may have been completed automatically.

However, if you do not see your name, you can easily create an Educator Login following these steps. Select the Toggle Menu indicated by the three lines near the TeachingBooks logo. Select Educator Login. If this not visible select Sign In. You will be lead through a few prompts. Start by entering your work email. Complete the Educator Login Registration. A confirmation code will be sent to your email. Check your email for the confirmation code. If it is not in your inbox, check spam or clutter folders. Once you have confirmed your profile successfully you will be welcomed by your name at the top of the screen.

An Educator Login allows you to share a book page or a resource from that page by selecting the arrow icon. Customize booklists for easy access to resources that you plan to use or use again. Look for the plus icon. Create custom lessons using the TeachingBooks templates found for each applicable title under Book Guides, Activities, and Lessons. Helpful to differentiate, scaffold, and extend instruction. Complete Text Complexity Rubrics for titles you are teaching or thinking deeply about by selecting View Text Complexity on any book page. Scroll down and select Add your own assessment to this crowdsourced measurement. Follow the prompts and submit.

The next time you use the website you need only sign in using your work email and password. Once you have created customized pieces, find them under the Toggle Menu, indicated by the three lines to the left of the TeachingBooks logo, Your Reading Lists, Your Lessons, Your Rubrics, as well as information about your license and TeachingBooks newsletters.
